What are Ireland’s Highlights?

Ireland is a beautiful island on the west coast of Europe. Dublin is the most western capital in the European Union. It is a country with a rich and colourful history. Due to the migration of its people, Irish culture is found throughout the world. An example is the celebration of St Patrick’s Day. Firstly, it is known as the Emerald Isles. It is a lush green and still mainly rural place, with equal amounts of rain and sunshine. It also features remarkably cosmopolitan and lively cities in the shape of its capital, Dublin and the Northern Irish capital of Belfast. Outside of these two, there is the complicated heritage of Londonderry/Derry,  the vibrancy and folk music of Galway and the artistic community that centres around Cork in the middle of the country. To the west are the rugged and picturesque islands of Aran, where the sweaters that have been mentioned, first originated from.
